  • Urban Sprouts 724 S 3rd St B Renton, WA USA (map)

Join us for a delightful exploration of creativity and nature at our upcoming event, where we'll be crafting with plants. You will get to choose between two beautiful projects with plants: kokedama and macrame plant holders. Immerse yourself in the art of Japanese moss ball gardening as we guide you through the serene process of creating your own kokedama, a unique and elegant way to showcase your favorite greenery. Then, unleash your inner artisan as we teach you the intricate knots and techniques of macrame to fashion stunning plant holders that will elevate any space with their bohemian charm.

Whether you're a seasoned plant enthusiast or just discovering the joy of botanical crafting, our event promises an enriching experience filled with inspiration, laughter, and the satisfaction of crafting something truly special with your own hands. No prior experience is needed – just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm, and let's create something beautiful together!

Spaces are limited, so don't miss out – secure your spot today! You may choose to do both crafts, or just choose one. We will all meet at Urban Sprouts at 10am for a group photo, then we will split into two groups. Group A will go to breakfast/ coffee nearby and Group B will do their project. Kokedama

Get your plants off your tables and away from little hands and paws. Macrame plant hangers are the perfect way to get that urban jungle vibe without taking up too much space! Walk away from this fun hands-on class with a beautiful plant hanger you've made yourself plus the know-how to make your own at home.

Macrame

also known as Japanese string gardens or moss ball planters are a form of bonsai in which a plant's roots are bound in a sphere of moss and threads. In this workshop you will learn a brief history of this amazing artform and walk away with an easy to maintain kokedama of your very own!
